GoMA Youth Group x Sanctuary Queer Arts: Queer GoMA - A Creative Response
Sunday 3 October 2021
2-4pm [BST]
Join this collaborative online workshop led by members of the GoMA Youth Group (GYG) to explore the gallery’s history of championing LGBTQ+ artists and artworks. Members Natalie Lorimer and Conner Ross will guide you to create your own response to works by Hal Fischer, David Hockney, Patricia Cronin and more through an interactive line drawing session. No artistic experience required!
Established in April 2019, the GoMA Youth Group is an initiative of young adults aged 16–25, created with the purpose of affecting change in Glasgow’s Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) by influencing the museum’s exhibition and public programmes.
You can bring your own materials or request a free line drawing pack to be sent out via post before the event - please contact drew@sanctuaryqueerarts.com to request a free workshop supplies pack. If supplies are requested, Sanctuary Queer Arts can only post to a UK address.
