Sanctuary explores intersecting identities through the lens of female pleasure and orgasm in this sensory and poetic autofiction-inspired short film by Sanctuary-commissioned writer Priyanka Jha.
In May, Priyanka (and fellow commissioned writer Luca) were selected from an open call to create a short piece of writing in any genre that broadly explores the theme of sanctuary. The artists each received £500, mentoring sessions with poet Dean Atta and theatre artist Robert Softley Gale, and further support to work with award-winning filmmaker Ania Urbanowska to create a short film.
Huge thanks to Platform Easterhouse for all their support in the making of this films.
